Custom domain email
Your own address, hosted directly, not a Go1Desk address you forward to.

What this is, and how it's different from a routing address
Every plan already includes at least one free routing address (a Go1Desk address you can forward your own [email protected] to; see the teams & routing guide). Custom domain email is different: it's a paid add-on, available on Growth and Suite, where your own address is the real one used end to end, with nothing to set up on your own mail provider and no forwarding rule to maintain.
Suite includes the first one free; every additional address on any plan is a small recurring monthly (or annual, if you're billed annually) charge. See the exact current price on your Subscription page.
Before you request it: create the team first
Custom domain email attaches to a specific team's queue, so create that team before requesting the address: Settings → Teams → Add team.
Leave "Turn on email-to-ticket for this team" unchecked when you create it. That checkbox generates a free Go1Desk routing address instantly, useful on its own, but not what you want here, since your custom domain address will become that team's address once it's active. Checking it first just means it gets replaced later.
Requesting it
From Settings → Subscription, find the Custom domain email card and click Request a custom domain email. You'll be asked for:
- The domain (e.g. yourcompany.com)
- The exact address you want (e.g. [email protected]); it has to end in the domain above
- Which team it should route into (the team you just created)
- Anything worth knowing (optional), such as who manages your domain's DNS
What happens after you submit it
It lands as a request our team reviews. We'll email you DNS records to add with your domain provider; this shows up on your Subscription page too, under the request itself, once it's ready. Add those records, then reply to let us know (or just wait, since we periodically re-check).
Once we've confirmed your domain is actually receiving mail, we activate it. You'll get another email, the request shows as Active on your Subscription page, and the recurring charge (if any) appears in your billing total from then on. From that point, email sent to your address becomes a ticket for the team you picked, exactly like any other routing address.
